NAMA alerts public on hacked NAMA MD’s social media account
Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Issues Alert on Hacking of MD/CE NAMA’s Facebook Account
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has alerted the public of the activities of hackers that have hacked the social media account of the Managing Director of NAMA, Engr. Umar Ahmed Farouk.
The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Alhaji Abdullah Musa alerted the public of the activities of the scammers, stating, “To a significant incident: the hacking of the Facebook account belonging to the Managing Director/Chief Executive (MD/CE) Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA). The compromised account is associated with the username amagwandu5@yahoo.com.”

This breach he said poses serious concerns about potential fraudulent activities the hackers may conduct.
He said the issue underscores the need for heightened vigilance among the public to guard against scams, misinformation, and other malicious activities by the hackers.
Potential risks he further stated may result in false information, fraudulent solicitations, or other harmful actions by the hackers.
The public is strongly advised to verify the authenticity of any communication or request from this Facebook account, warning the public to avoid engaging with suspicious posts, messages, or requests for personal information or financial transactions.
He called on the public to report any suspicious activity or communication to the relevant authorities immediately.
